love ebooks. They've made me a lot of money over
the past 2 years. Plus, customers love being
able to get instant access to the information
they want.
But
sometimes you just like to sit down on the couch
and read a good paper & ink book instead of
one in a big 3 ring binder you've printed
out.
For
those occasions, here are a list of my ten
favorite marketing books. These are all books
I've read at least twice and know you will
benefit from as much as I have.
They're not
in any particular order as each one has it's
merits. They can all be purchased from any

Book #1:
Internet Direct Mail by Stevan
Roberts
Stevan
Roberts, Michelle Feit, and Robert Bly have
teamed up to create this book about how to
create successful email marketing campaigns. It
is on buying email ads, producing your own, and
even renting lists. Plus, it has a special
section on sample email ads.
Book #2:
Getting Everything You Can Out Of All You've Got
by Jay Abraham
Jay
Abraham charges $5,000 an hour for consulting,
but this book covers the basics of all the
methods he uses. Although the section on
Internet marketing isn't that good, the rest of
the 21 techniques to increase your business can
be used in any business...online or
offline.
Book #3:
Mail Order in the Internet Age by Ted
Ciuba
Ted
Ciuba has created the ultimate introduction to
mail order and Internet marketing in this book.
It really doesn't get very in depth on specific
marketing techniques. It is one of the best
motivational books I've ever read and will
really have you working on your backend
profits.
Book #4:
Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by
Robert B. Cialdini
Influence
was written by a psychologist, not a marketer.
So it is written from a completely different
angle than what you're used to. He details in
here the 7 deadly weapons marketers can use to
make sales...in person, in ad copy, online,
anywhere. This book really took my copywriting
to the next level.
Book #5:
Advertising Secrets of the Written Word by Joe
Sugarman
Joe
Sugarman teaches the 17 steps to writing
powerful ads...the 24 psychological triggers
that make people buy...and the 57 points to
remember when writing ads. It is the synopsis of
his $1,500 copywriting seminars and it is one of
the best books on copywriting I've
read.
Book #6:
There's a Customer Born Every Minute by Joe
Vitale
Joe
Vitale studied the life of P.T. Barnum and has
created this work to help you create the Barnum
mindset to running your business. P.T. Barnum is
most famous for being misquoted as saying,
"There's a sucker born every minute," although
he never made such a statement in his life. Find
out the truth and how you can use his secrets
online.
Book #7: The
Ultimate Sales Letter by Dan Kennedy
This is Dan
Kennedy's 28 step system to writing powerful
sales letters. Although this was specifically
written for offline sales letters, you can still
use this information and system to build your
own hard hitting online sales copy. Dan is one
of the best, and this will introduce you to his
powerful methods.
Book #8:
Poor Richard's Branding Yourself Online by Bob
Baker
Bob
Baker covers how to build your own Internet
brand (such as what I've done) and teaches you
how to become a celebrity in any field you want.
He goes on to show technique after
technique...and then twelve examples of branded
online businesses. It's a great book and puts a
lot of online ebooks to shame.
Book #9:
Multiple Streams of Internet Income by Robert
Allen
This is a
good overview of online money making methods,
although it is only a superficial review of them
at times. What really stands out is the
inclusion of all 5 letters Robert Allen used to
create over $100,000 in sales from email alone
online. It gives you a proven model of how to
write powerful web copy.
Book #10:
U-Publish.com by Dan Poynter
If
you want to be a self-published author of any
type and don't own this book, then shame on you.
Dan covers the new publishing model of
print-on-demand (not ebooks and not traditional
printing). He then shows you multitudes of ways
to sell your book online and offline.
