The
Internet Lifestyle...Part
II
By
Terry Dean
This is an
extension of an article I wrote well over a year
ago. You can find that article online at:

The
Internet is all about the lifestyle.
You
choose what you want in life. It's all about the
freedom.
You
choose where you live. You choose when you
work. You choose what you do.
If
you want to live in New York City, that will
work fine for your Internet business. If you
prefer small town life such as New Castle,
Indiana, then no problem. It will work out just
fine.
I
currently live way out in the country in Indiana
where "high speed access" is only a phrase...no
where near delivery. So I'm running my business
from a 56k modem. No high speed access...at
all.
It
doesn't matter. I get to enjoy my 18.5 acres
with my wife and 3 dogs...with no interruptions,
no traffic, and no neighbors.
It's about
the lifetyle.
If
I choose tomorrow to move to a warmer place and
live in the city, it won't make an ounce of
difference. The business just keeps right on
going.
If
I ever choose to move, it would definitely be to
a warmer place as I hate the cold.
Hopefully
you're not making the same mistake I see so many
people making. They think they have to work 100
hours a week...and sell their souls to be
successful.
Forget it.
I'm not about to work like that, ruin my health,
and destroy my marriage. The world is littered
with business people who have nothing left but a
little bit of money they worked their life away
for.
No
one, on their deathbed, says, "I wish I spent a
little more time at work."
Ron
Legrand, who I do Internet & Information
seminars with, always says, "The less I do...the
more I make."
No
statement could ever be more true about the
Internet than this. The less you do...the more
you make (if you're doing the right
things).
Think about
some of the possible and successful business
models which work online...
1.
eBooks
This one
should be obvious, but it's benefit is that you
don't have to send anything out. You could live
on a BOAT in the middle of the Pacific ocean and
have orders coming in, being processed for you,
and deposited in a bank account...and you don't
have to do ANYTHING.
Living on a
yacht in the ocean doesn't sound half bad, now
that I think about it.
It's a money
vending machine. People read your sales letter,
put their money in, and out pops your product.
It is 100% automatic and doesn't involve you at
all.
It
beats showing up for a job anyday...especially
if you worked for Little Ceasar's like I did at
one time (sad, sad part of my past).
2.
Ezines
Build a list
of subscribers. It could be for an ezine or an
autoresponder series. Contact them. Provide them
good information. Then offer them products they
can purchase.
You
could offer your own products, OR you could
offer products you're simply an affiliate of. It
doesn't matter. When Frank Garon and I recently
did our teleseminar we told people how they
could start getting 23 checks or more per month
simply by referring their prospects to affiliate
programs.
So
you could be an affiliate of other people's free
programs. Advertise your opt-in list. Build a
few thousand subscribers (only takes 30 days or
less). Then promote one affiliate program after
another for multiple streams of Internet
income.
3.
Membership Sites
This is a
third Internet delivery only option. This one
actually requires a little more work than the
above, but it creates residual income forever.
You just keep getting deposits made in your bank
account from the same customers over and over
again.
Unlike an
ebook, which you write once and sell forever...a
membership site requires you to continually
study and write about the subject. So it does
require work. The good part is that it doesn't
matter where you're at.
You
could just as easily write your information from
Australia as you can from the US...all you need
is an Internet connection.
With
satellite delivery now becoming more common,
it's practical for even yachts, RV's, and little
tiny towns like where I live to have high speed
access to the Internet (I'll be installing a
satellite soon).
By
the way, since you'll continually write about a
specific subject with a membership site, make
sure it's one you're passionate about so you
don't burn out (who wants to create an Internet
business which feels like a job)!
